Jayne Tunnicliffe

Jayne Tunnicliffe started hand sewing tweed and tartan hares from her home in Saltaire, West Yorkshire in 2015, alongside working as an actor and writer.

She began selling them online and sales quickly took off, leading her to add deer, badgers, jackalopes and foxes to her repertoire.

Eight years later her creations are still in demand.

In 2023 she was featured in Yorkshire Life magazine.

She also created two custom lion heads for social media star Benny Drama's Kylie and Kendall Jenner spoof, as well as five larger than life dog heads for a retail display for Ted Baker in Saudi Arabia.

Jayne is constantly expanding the range of Crafted Creatures. Soon to join the menagerie will be wild boar, highland cows, horses, squirrels and llamas.

She is happy to discuss custom creations:

She has also appeared in Phoenix Nights, That Peter Kay Thing, Lily Live with Lily Savage, Clocking Off, Happy Valley and had a cameo role in the film Funny Cow alongside Maxine Peake. Most recently in late 2023  she had a small role in the brilliant drama Boat Story for BBC Studios.

In the 1990s you could have seen her on stage across the UK as stand up comic and ukulele strummer Mary Unfaithful.

She has shared the stage with such notables as Lonnie Donegan, Little and Large, Jo Brand, Charlie Chuck, Steve Coogan, Craig Charles, Peter Kay and Lily Savage.
